12 minutes by train from Victoria; at the southerly tip of Southwark and almost bordering on Bromley, Lewisham, Lambeth and Croydon lies the Kingswood Community. Its roads, Bowen Drive, Seeley Drive and Lyall Avenue can be accessed from Kingswood Drive. Its other borders include, Hunts Slip Road, and the line of rail from London to Orpington which gives access to Sydenham Hill Station and links the community with Herne Hill, Brixton, and Victoria to the north and Beckenham and Bromley to the south.

At the centre of the community lies a grade 2 listed mansion known as Kingswood House, but affectionately called ‘The Castle’ by some. It contains a library, function rooms for weddings, commercial and other events; offices, and rooms for community events.

The community is fortunate in having its own local shops, Housing Office, Nursery School and Primary School, a nearby a State Secondary School, Health Practice, woods, and churches. To learn more about some of these items just click on the relevant item in the list above.
