Friends of Kingswood House

The Friends of Kingswood House are a small band of people who care about the House and Community; some for its architecture, some for its history, some for its social inclusiveness.

We started off with an 'Imagine Kingswood' Day to help us find out what the people in the community wanted. This lead to our getting grants for drama lessons, tapestry making, and video making; and we also did a bit of fund raising. We have bought a bench, replacement roses - though more are needed now, and co-operated with Paxton Green Time Bank & Dulwich Helpline to put on various events.

We also organise or help with social events such as festivals, fetes, Victorian days, a Victorian supper, and tea dances.

Because the House is a listed building it is difficult and expensive for Southwark Council to maintain. The House needs Friends to make sure it continues to thrive and provide a place for the community for many years to come.

Membership costs £5 a year for individuals, £10 for families, and £15 for organisations. Please send a cheque and details of your name, address or, preferably, e-mail address to the Secretary Friends of Kingswood House, Kingswood House, Seeley Drive, SE21 8QR.

You will be kept informed of and invited to forthcoming public events and fundraising activities. After 2 years membership you may be eligible for discount on bookings.

We are incredibly grateful to DULWICH ON VIEW, who have supported us many times. You can see some of their articles below:.
